The 2026 first-overall pick potted his first apple of the pre-season as the Toronto Maple Leafs dominated the Ottawa Senators 6-1 at Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday night.
The Maple Leafs' Group B squad also topped the Senators 4-2 in Ottawa to close out their pre-season.
McKenna got his first exhibition point in the final minute of the first period, a secondary assist on a John Tavares goal that made it 3-1 for the home squad.
Tim Stutzle opened the scoring for the visitor's side with a nifty deke around Maple Leafs' goalie Sergei Bobrovsky early in the game, but it was all Maple Leafs after that.
Jake McCabe tied it up shortly after Stutzle scored, with Tavares scoring the go-ahead marker before the first 20 minutes was over.
The Maple Leafs also saw goals from Jack Roslovic, Zach McEwan, Morgan Rielly and captain Auston Matthews.
Roslovic, Tavares and Matthews all had three points on the evening.
The Maple Leafs open their regular-season schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 29 against the Montreal Canadiens at 7 p.m. ET.
